The southeast locos gang started in the early 70's originating in south east san diego the lincoln park/valencia park community in southern california.The locos earned the "13"(pledge to the mexican mafia) in the late 80's and ever since then they became prosecuted by SDPD and FBI officials due to the numerous murders in the early 90's. In 1993 eight members were found guilty of nine 1st and 2nd degree murder in the city of el cajon and chula vista all in one year alone.The gang consisted of a estimated 300 members when the locos first started and and today theres about 160 members with more then half behind bars due to their violent gang life style and homocidal tendencies including large manhunts for individual fugitives.
